The main ideas we will address in the short story unit are: conflict, character, setting, atmosphere, point of view, theme, irony, and symbolism. Copies of the stories and the corresponding assignment are available below. I've also included a link to a flashcard study aid to help with your understanding of short story terminology. These terms will also be important to know for your Provincial Exam at the end of the semester/year.
